Charlotte has a few waterfront communities located in the SW corner of Mecklenburg County along the Catawba River and Lake Wylie.
The neighborhoods below have been chosen because they are waterfront communities and provide an atmosphere of being on or near the water. Waterfront and waterview lots and homes can be found in each. Some homes listed may be on a large pond or small lake with a waterfront lot. Lake Norman is the largest lake in the Charlotte area string of lakes followed by Lake Hickory, Lake Wylie, Mountain Island Lake, and Lake Tillery.
